You put it way too lightly sfish!!!
They are lucky the weight of the rig did not drag the TV and the people inside down that cliff. I notice the road is damp and there is a little snow around, so it must have been going too fast in wet or icy roads or the driver got too close to the edge. Note that the front landing gear is down just a bit (like some of us do when we travel - not raised all the way up). Notice that the driver's side one is dug into the road and maybe that helped act as an anchor so it did not go over. Or maybe the tree on the other side is helping. Wow... so many thoughts...
This could have been so much worse. I hope this is a lighter model Montana trailer being towed by a monster of a truck (it looks like a dually). My trailer weighs 13,500 pounds and my SRW truck weighs about 8,500. When you see a picture like this you can always wonder how'd you fare and just hope you never get there.

Art,
If you read the account on rv.net, they lost traction going uphill on ice, slid back down with the rig pulling the truck on ice, and trees are the only thing that kept the combo from going down a 200 foot bank. There is a pic from the front on the rv.net thread. Like I said, wow!!!

thanks.... missed the link at the bottom. I guess I guessed right. This is the view of the Front? Holy cow, it just keeps getting worse and worse. I'll check out the story.
Note to self, if it's icy, stay put, hills or not. After all, you've gotta be able to stop your 10 to 12 tons of fun, too and four wheel drive only helps you go, not stop.
