F350 Superglide warning

Just called local dealer to get new mounting kit for my 16K Superglide hitch for new 2011 F350.
Glad I am not towing anytime soon. Hitch kit available for GAS TRUCK ONLY!!!!
Service guy said told him availability in 2 to six weeks for diesel.

You would think the rear of the truck would be the same, gas or diesel

Shows my ignorance. I thought all F350 were long box hence you would not need a slider hitch.

Built in frame rails were on my interest list until I discovered that it is for Gooseneck hitch only.

I think this has to do with the location of the additional tank on the diesel F350 for the urea.

The built in frame rails were designed by Ford and Reese and will accept the Elite Series 5th hitch and a ball for an gooseneck.

Didn't know that. But, I don't want a long bed and that is another requirement.
