they fixed our freezing AC

I think they have fixed our main air conditioner. It was freezing up after a couple hours of running. It would freeze on high or low or any which way the vents in ceiling were opened or closed. It was in shop to have second air conditioner installed and they looked at the main AC. They saw a piece of tape hanging down from the ceiling or someplace up in the AC. They said that would disrupt the air flow. How? I have no idea. Anyway they have been running it every day since this and it has not frozen. Second AC works great!!!
We pick it up Monday. That second AC is going to be wonderful!!!
Thought someone could use this information if their AC is freezing. Might want to check for that too. You never know. We were ready to try anything. Keep fingers crossed !

Dustytuu, I am so happy that you got your A/C fixed and your new one installed. We have the second A/C and would not be with out it, it was 112 here yesterday and is already 99 at 10:00AM so it is going to be another hot day.

We are glad too! We couldn't depend on it when it was freezing up. Couldn't leave the dogs alone in there because of that. Now we will have a back up too.

Dusty, that is great that they fixed the air...even better to have a 2nd one!! Our air did good last weekend in the 100 degree heat. We ran it on high during the day and at night we ran it on auto. Worked very good.

Glad to hear you are all fixed up and running. We tried only running the main one this past weekend while it was near 100 every day. It would only maintain about 80-82 degrees while we were gone on a family adventure during the afternoons. As soon as we returned we cranked up the second one and cooled it down the rest of the way. Ours has never froze up so far. Maybe we got a lucky one?? Or I just jinxed myself. You will be happy with the 2nd A/C if you are in any hot weather.

We really hope it is fixed. We have not gone anywhere since getting it back home but the repair shop said they ran it all day for two days and it didn't freeze.
