ok guys help general question
i have a 2008 ford 250 cc/ diesel. i installed a kenwood nav system with bluetooh,hd, disc, usb port and it has a spot for a camera hook up. here is my question i would like to mount a camera on the back of the monty and use my screen in the truck. i assume it will be wireless and i can run the cable and reciever to front on top of hitch and the transmitter to the back of my truck oan mount it there would only be about 5 -6 ft for a signal to get to the transmitter, can i do this and hook it up to my cameara ooutput on the truck and have a consant picture of whats behind me when towing the 5ver, it would alsof be good for backing up into spots.

I see you haven't received an answer in a month.
Here's my experience, I practically had the same truck, and have a wireless camera and receiver on my old 30' travel trailer. Yes it worked, but the picture wasn't always 100%. I think it's the excessive distances plus the problem of having the signal travel through the RV and TV.
I'm guessing a wired system would be better. You'd have to have another connection between the RV and TV for the video signal, it's doable, I know folks who've done it.

I used RVCams for my camera and tech support.
I hard wire my camera and have a jumper cable from trailer to bed of truck.

Just alternate thinking about wired cameras ... I mounted my monitor inbetween my sunvisors. Fords have a steel plate behind the headliner that can easily support a monitor. Single hole in the headliner that can be filled with a gromment plug when you sell your truck. Wire is easily run above the headliner to the back of the cab and on to the bedside.

I have a rear and two side cameras on my MH. Other than watching the tow vehicle, I do not use any of the cameras.
