Ford F350 Super Duty - Require Input

I sold my 2008 2500HD GMC and currently am shopping for a new one ton truck. I`m told that GM will be coming out with a refreshed GMC & Chev in 2013, but Ford has a refreshed truck now, but I would like to know how Fords new 6.7 diesel is performing. Have the 2011 Ford Super Duty owners experienced any problems, or does the engine seem to be flawless. I greatly appreciate the 2011 Ford owners input.

Thank you

Mine is working well, turned 5,000 miles on my trip to the Fall National Rally. Averaged 11.2 MPG. I've had a 2001 and 2006 F350's and this by far is the best driver and performer. Good luck with your decision.

I love mine. No problems yet and has plenty of power. I of course would like to see a sharper turning radius, It already has just as good turning ability as the rest, but as always... I want more! lol

For that reason alone I would have gone with a F-450 as it has a little more turning ability.

My F-350 tows like a champ, has a pretty good Nav unit, nice comfortable seats for long trips. Nice big fuel tank 39 gallons, pre installed 5th wheel rails....

There are in cab videos of us driving it while towing so you can hear how quiet it is in the cab going down the road. Click the 5th wheel advetures like in my signature.

PM me if you have any specific questions.

I love mine, 17,500 miles, approximatly 7000 tow miles. 11.5-12 MPG towing and 18-20 solo.

Ford techs say they have seen them in the service bays but only for oil changes! I did have to have the NOX sensor replaced, but other than than that, no other problem(s).

Ford Truck Enthusiasts have a great 6.7 forum.

Fords new 6.7 is a compacted graphite iron engine in place of cast iron. Kenworth uses it in their 7000 series trucks. Audi uses it in their GTP? race diesel engine. It won the 24 hour Le Mans race this year. Its lighter and more durable than cast iron, but much much harder to machine. This engine will prove to be the best engine ever put in a diesel pickup. Their 6r140 transmission was designed to handle 1400 pound feet of torque, far more than any other pickup transmission.

I only have 7K miles on mine so far with about 95% of those mile towing the Monty. Love the truck and especially the new engine. Pulls like a champ. Averaging about 11 MPH when pulling and 17 when not. I have the 3:73 rear end. Have had it back to the dealer only for an oil change.

We also love ours. We only got one opportunity this summer to tow and got 11.9 MPG going, and 10.9 MPG returning. Tows like a champ. We have less than 3500 miles on it and thus have yet to have an oil change. If you go for the new Ford I don't think you will be sorry.

12K on my F350. Towed about 3K I guess with our Montana. Love love love this truck. Take it for a test drive. I did get over 12mpg on my last long tow.
Been to the shop once - for an oil change. Incredible power, quiet operation.

My 2011 350 is the 3rd Ford truck I have had and it is by far the best of the three. The engine is strong and extremely quiet. The new 6 spd transmission shifts smoothly and with 800 ft-lbs of torque it needs to downshift on hills much less frequently than previous models. I average 12 mpg towing my Monty 3075.

Since I started looking at the 350's have spotted alot of 450's and they are tempting. Anyone know how the ride is in the 450?
