Diameter of axles on Montana?
Are they 3" or 4"? I am in the design process of making an adapter for the bottle jack. and too lazy to crawl under it, if someone knows..

So, does that channel fit over the U-bolts?

I like what you did there, I am hoping to follow the contour of the axle closely, I don't want all of the weight on less than an inch of axle. It makes me uneasy to have just the tip of the bottle jack on the bottom of the axle. I raised my trailer with the top of the bottle jack on the U-bolt bottom, that transfers the weight all along the u-bolt and up to the mounting, but that is such a small place to balance it.

If you could find something that would follow the contour of the U-bolts would be the best. That way the jack would be on the very end of the axle and on the largest weight transfer area.

Ozz the way my mod works is it is placed as close to the spring pad as possable the channel cradles the axel. I believe that the jack this close to the spring pad does no harm to the axel tubing, it also allows me to get the brake adjusting tool in the hole a lot easier when I have to adjust the brakes it give about 4 inches more room.
