Finished up installation of the AirDog today. Intructions were good and had all the parts. Good quality product. The only PITA was getting to the top of the tank to get the suction line off and the other one on. With me being 6'3 230 lbs, it was a very tight fit and couldn't see what I was doing but got 'r done. There is a very noticeable difference in power and engine noise. It appears that there may be an increase in mileage also, according the overhead. Mounted it on inside of the frame and the pump is very quiet. so far I am very happy with it. It is running about 13 PSI. It came with another spring to increase the pressure if needed but was running 11psi with the stock one. Left the stock pump and filter in place as a spare. Drained the fuel from the housing and replaced the filter. Shouldn't need it but it is there if needed.

I have to quit reading these post. The 2004.5 Dodge D3500 Cummings is the first diesel I have ever owned. What I know about a diesel I learned from the owners manual or talking to fellow owners. Not much. 141,000 later I have no knowledge of what a lift pump is. Bet it will fail shortly and I won't have the slightest idea what the problem is. Just replaced the muffler and tail pipe and the ball joints for the second time. No rust yet. I sure hope I haven't jinxed myself by posting. Knock on wood.;>)
