Cradlepoint & AT&T

Does anyone use the Cradlepoint? How about with AT&T service? This was recommended by EVDO Alex, but I'm not educated enough to know if it's really what I'm looking for. Am I correct that these routers plug into a wall outlet, then you insert your wireless device (mine's an AT&T Mercury) and then you can access the resulting WiFi within the range bwith a laptop? In other words can I plug it in one room of my stick house or RV and then use the laptop somewhere else? or even more than one at the same time?

Yes, that's the way they work. We have the Verizon broadband card and plug it into the Cradlepint and it works thru the house and on the patio, too. Even more, we recently went to Minnesota and put the Cradlepoint in the closet on the shelf in the Montana, plugged it into our invertor and wi=fi all the time we were traveling in the truck. Grandson was traveling with us and had his IPOD touch and used it, I used it with my laptop. Our service is with Verizon, but I'm sure it would be comparable with AT&T as well. Folks from her recommended the Cradlepoint and that's why we went with it. They offer great customer service as well.

Larry,

I second what slews said. YES! That is how it works.

EVDO Alex IS who you want to talk with, he knows the latest and greatest, and at the way technology is changing, why waste your money on out-dated technology?

Good luck, if you need more information, you know how to get in touch with me.

I'm sure Alex will be along, but you can go to the Cradlepoint web site and get some information. Check on compatibility with your wireless card. And again, ask Alex.

you can do either/both... and since you'll need to use in stick house, the MBR1000 would be my recommendation because it has the most WiFi range.
