HW gas valve

I replaced the HW gas valve just before we left for the winter here in South Tx. and now it appears to have gone out again. It tries to light but the valve will not let the gas flow. Is there something else I should have done or checked. Also does anyone know if them closed the Camping World store here in the Rio Grande Valley ?

The water heater has 2 limit switches, they are hidden behind a piece of foam. Trace the wires from your valve to the first, the second will be near. You can jump them to see if that is your problem. No Camping World stores in the valley

Check to make sure there isn't something blocking your oriface. Spiders, wasps and others are attracted to propane and will make nest etc that can block the flow.
