Quest QR4000 DVD/AM-FM Combo

Does anyone know what the 30" long RG-6 cable with what looks like a splice in it is? It runs from the splitter to the FM Antenna RF In of the Quest QR 4000 DVD/AM-FM Combo. My unit is the RL2955 with an LCD TV.

It allows you to play the radio off the DVD/AM-FM combo. Your green "antenna" light up in the closet needs to be on. If it is not on or you are connected to cable you will not get any radio stations.
Good luck,

Thanks for the reply John. This RG-6 coax I am referring to has a small diode in the splice/shrink tube. My AM/FM Tuner is shot and the dealer is replacing the tuner. That is why I have been exploring connections and cables. I was wondering what is special about this coax since it has a diode. The coax is also made up of two different coax types.

Also when you mention the green light in the closet needs to be on, is that the antenna amplifier you are referring to?

Jolu, Yes the antenna amp is the green light. Only a guess, if the two cables are diffrent and they are connected by a diode, it may be an impeadence(sp) matching diode.
