GREY WATER DUMP VALVE

MY GRAY WATER VALVE TO DUMP THE GRAY WATER WAS GETING TOUGH to pull in and out. So I dropped my under belly and found its on a four to 6 foot flex extension. Has anyone dealt with this ideas?

I have had some luck dripping oil on the rod. Put a few drops on the rod and then work it in and out. If the 6 foot flex extension has a sheath around the wire try to get some oil on the wire and then work it in and out. Jim

Sometimes it's not the cable at all, it's the knife itself. There is a article online somewhere (currently can't find it)that shows a guy drlling a small hole in the rectangular housing (cable end) the knife slides in and out of and lubbing the space inside.

After doing the lube thing and cleaning the knife valve many times (it only works for awile) Or you can do what I did and replace the cheap stock one with a Quality Valve and cable like this and works MUCH BETTER!.. http://www.amazon.com/Valterra-TC372...mp+valve+cable

Peek inside your belly pan to see where the valves are between yout tanks, cut a 3 sided access door and fold it back. Gorilla tape it back when done.

Got rid of the cable pulls and installed threaded rod pulls on all four of our tanks. My little finger will open and close all four.

Would like to know more about what is involved in changing the cable pull system to threaded rod pulls.
Thanks, John

I posted specifics on how I installed previously. Search should find. Best mod I ever did. Drop underbelly,, reroute drain pipes ( used two rubber couplings to make it easy, relocate pulls close to the frame, deinstall cable assemblies, replace with threaded rod pulls. Pull locations now in different locations but easy to get to.
