Next Year

I'm probably looking in the wrong place, but wondering what was decided about next years rally? When & where? Was location decided for the national rally? Will all members vote on line as they did last time? TIA

The escapees and MOC are not the same. The administrators decided to have two rallies on West and one East. I guess with the price of fuel that's not a bad idea. I think more info will be coming.

We are looking forward to the fall rally in Indiana. We missed this years rally due to us just buying a Montana earlier this year. We are anxious to learn of the dates so we can make plans to attend this years rally.

I believe the regional rally will be in Ohio for 2006. Exact location and date not determined yet.

Yes I believe the regional will be in Ohio but the National will be around the Goshen area. We need to plan our regional around that date. Right now with the lousy weather it seems like a long ways off.

From what I understood Steve Emmel volunteered to be wagonmaster and was looking into campgrounds in the Ohio area for next years Great Lakes region rally. Hopefully he will be jumping in here with more information.

Camper, MOC has nothing to do with the Escapees. But many MOCers are also Escapees so as a matter of convenience, the administrators chose to have the MOC rally coordinate with the Escapees rally so that more people could attend both. At least that's what was inferred at the Reno Rally. Anything to save gas/diesel $$.

Thanks for the info. Maybe we'll make the Ohio rally, but seldom return to rallies in same place....we prefer to see different areas.

One of the reasons to have the fall rally in the Goshen area is to have a plant tour. A lot of owners want to tour the factory. That is one reason we decided to have the regional in Ohio.

Being a new Montana owner this year I want to attend the Goshen Rally this next year. We have toured other manufacturing plants and find the process at each to be interesting. Look forward to knowing when the dates are set.

Sorry it has taken so long to jump in about the regional rally. We just returned from an 18 day trip to Pa, DC, and Va, so we didn't have the web with us. We are hosting the regional rally for the Great Lakes Region next year here in Ohio. We do need some input as to when people would like to visit Ohio. The spring is nice, but Patti and I are not available till July, so we would prefer September or August while the weather is still warm. If we do Sept, we need to stay 2 or 3 weeks from the National in Indiana. Also, we would like to secure a campgrounds on or very near I~70 towards the middle of the state. When we can come up with a date that MOST of us can agree on, we will post the date and place. We also decided to keep the regional to only 4 days consisting of Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I hope this is enough info for now, we will be open to suggestions and HELP, more to come later!

Sound good Steve, just keep us posted and we will see about getting some time off work to attend. I can't wait until I don't have to ask to go on vacation.

Aug or Sept sound great. First part of Aug can still be pretty hot thought.

Here are my arguments for early August. It is still within the summer vacation time frame....School is still out. With the start of school many folks drop out because of school related issues.Jobs, Kids, Grandkids, etc..Can't worry about what the weather might be..It could be hot/humid, cold/rainy, stormy/windy..we have no control. Our experience has been...Find a campground that can handle the number of units, Set the dates, give folks plenty of lead time to work with their schedule for the time off.On a individual basis we can either make it..or not...If this is to happen in Aug/sept/Oct we need to find a campground by the first of the year..35 40 large units are a lot of units to attempt to gather in one group. Set these things up for our local camping group for a long time..It is not as easy as you may think...

We would love to join in and meet folks, but can't do October. We can make August or September, but October is a tough month for us.....

I think that we need to find out exactly when the national is in Goshen. That will depend on when we can have our regional. I would think that if we had it a week after or before the national it would give those at the national time to make their way to the regional if they so desire. just my opinion. We want to be able to attend both as I would suspect most of you do. The regional is not just for those in the great lakes region. Anyone can come that has the time and wants to.

Good point Ronstan..Reading the policy in the general forum looks like that will be shortly before or shortly after Sept 17-22 2006..That date needs to be set..I still,(my opinion only) favor August for the reasons already stated and that would work out if the Goshen rally was shortly before Sep 17th??? We would like to make both ourselves. HUMMM .I can see FCRV rally, Goshen rally, Ohio Rally..that would wring out the new Montana????
