Hi Bob,
That sounds like it is on a little too much. The last time I was using the unit in the cold, it seemed to me it would come on every 3/4 of an hour or so. Maybe a little Electric heat would help. I know its not hard to go through a 30 lb propane tank in 4 or 5 days, when it's cold.

According to a chart in my old TT manual, a furnace running hard will consume a tank of propane in 32 hours.
Here are the details: Each gallon of LP gas produces 91,500 btu of heat energy. A seven gal tank will provide 640,500 btu of heat energy. Typical RV furnace, operating at full capacity will use about 20,000 of btu energy per hour.
(640,500 / 20,000 = 32).

They will run when the temps drop. I suggest looking into purchasing a space heater or two to help off set the cost of propane. Another benefit is, space heaters are silent compared to the furnace.

When we run an electric heater or fireplace. Then the furnance will come on just like in the stick house. I think when you use both you will notice the furnace doesnt run near as much.

Wind, as much temperature, is a big factor in how much the furnace runs. Try to close up any obvious holes in the fame and underbelly.
