Big Slide Leak New Unit

Our 2014 3725RL had a leak on the curb side slide after a big blowing storm. Our old 3400RL had the same leak. I ran the slide in about half way, cleaned the top, and used a high quality OSI silicon to reseal it. I had to do the same fix on the old unit and it never leaked again. Had my wash/wax neighbor do a wash job a couple days ago and now I am wondering if he may have pushed the top seal inward while cleaning the top of that slide, allowing rain to beat against the top edge of the slide. It doesn't really matter though, you would think a new unit would be sealed correctly against the inner edge to prevent water from getting in.

No, still considering them. Hate to spend the money.

Probably not much to do but get up there and see what's up.

If the installed eternabond tape looks like a washboard and still under warrenty, have it done correctly by dealer.

We had a leak this past winter on the large curb side slide. Sealed everything that even looked questionable on the roof of the slide. Finally, as the last straw, purchased a weatherizing kit for the exterior of the window, from a local hardware store. This had double-sided tape to apply around the window. It appeared the water was entering from the forward facing window of the slide. After applying the tape, a clear film is applied to cover the window. Problem solved. After finally relocating to a drier climate, I decided to trim back the black butyl material that had squeezed out from around the window frame, and applied silicone caulking. Haven't had a drop of water get in since. I will eventually remove the window to replace the butyl caulk.

Our 3400RL had the same leak. It was under warranty so the dealer (on the road) repaired it...been fine ever since.
