Space Heater

I need to get a space heater to cut down on propane consumption. Does anybody have a recommendation. Concerned about safety and efficiency. Will primarily use it in the living area. Picked up my Montana in October and used alot of propane heating it in the mountains while hunting. Any info greatly appreciated. Thanks
