Paint Codes
Recently I have been reviewing some YouTube videos on routine and other RV maintenance. That got me to thinking that it would be a good idea to have the paint codes for our 2019 MHC 330RL. I sent a message to Keystone requesting the codes. I received a quick reply from Darcy Linton with the following:
Black-IDF3812
Champagne-IDF 9616
On my trailer there is also a blue color. When I asked Darcy about the blue she said only the black and champagne are listed. She also said that they use Sherwin Williams paint and they could match it if needed.
Has any one gotten the paint code for the blue for a 2019 MHC? Has anyone been able to match it with Sherwin Williams paint?
TIA!

Wow, I'm surprised you got that much. I asked for the same thing a year ago and was told they didn't have that info. Good on you...

I had a boo-boo on front cap and I repaired the crack myself. I went to my dealer and they said they could not match the color or give me any information on it. They said I could take it to a body shop and they could color match it. They also said I could get matching paint from an automotive store, and the spray gel coat too. I tried the automotive store since I had the trailer with me and they could not match. I went ahead and purchased a can of automotive spray paint that I thought would match and used that. Well, the color was completely different when it dried, but I did have enough sense to isolate the new spray paint and it actually looked pretty good when I got done. I finished off with the spray gel coat and to look at it now, you'd never know or realize the colors didn't come from the factor that way.
So, you know, if you can't color match exactly, you might be able to find creative ways to blend in a new color and make it look like it belongs.
Here's my front cap. The silver tent color on the bottom of the front cap was the new paint. If you din't know any different, you'd never know this was done (by me).

I think that looks great and another good idea for personalizing a rig.

We have a Sherwin Williams Auto Paint store in Jacksonville, FL. They were not able to find anything with the paint codes given. Their suggestion was to bring the rig in to them, or remove a part and they could match from that. I haven't gotten around to that yet, as there is a sidewall crack that CW is supposed to fix someday. Still waiting to get it in for repair, though.

They are custom colors formulated in Diamont. We have the formulas to mix them. Call BASF who it the manufacturer of Diamont paint and they can find someone local to mix it. There number is 1-800-825-3000. If you need the formulas please email me with your paint codes to t.lewis@industrialfinishes.com
