water in front window

We have a 2017 3731FL and noticed the other day water standing on the plastic trim piece on the bottom of the inside of the window. It was about 1 1/2" deep but i was able to dry it up with a couple of towels. Question is, has anyone else had this happen? Is it just condensation from several days of cold weather and running the heater and humidifier or is it a leak. I haven't seen anymore water even though it has rained since the original finding.

Thanks!!!

Well, you made me look at mine to see exactly what you are talking about, and think I understand. It's hard to imagine an inch and half of water standing in the bottom of that plastic v shaped spot on the inside of the window, but I suppose it's possible. Considering yours was on the inside and so much, I think you'd see traces of water dripping over the window and leaving streaks after it dried. If it leaked around the seams, I would think you'd see dried water streaks around the seams too. That much water had to come from somewhere. Which makes me think, the standing water is not a leak.

Do other windows in your camper condensate too? Do they sweat on the inside too? If other windows sweat also, I would imagine the water is from simple condensation. But, it's hard to imagine that much water pooling.

Are you in cold weather right now and heating the inside of your camper? Do other windows sweat up as much?

Yes, we are in the bi-polar weather of Oklahoma! Cold one day, warm the next. Our front slide windows sweat as well and I could not find any entry point for the water. They really only sweat when it's sub-freezing outside. That's why I was thinking condensation too. Our rig is facing north so no sun gets to the window to help dry it up. We've had the trailer 9 months and this is first time we have noticed water there.

We have a 3820FK with the big front picture window and experienced water several inches deep on more than one occasion after rain events. Our mobile RV tech removed the exterior rubber trim gasket around the glass and resealed the window with urethane. No more water or leakage.

We had the same issue “cold camping” and found the following fix to cut down the condensation. Had 3 adults, 3 kids and 3 dogs sleeping inside the trailer at night. Don’t pull the window shades down all the way and leave a window cracked open. Our furnace ran almost all night with temps outside in mid to upper 30s and raining outside. Every morning I would wipe all the windows with a chamois cloth to get condensation off. After we started leaving the window shades up a couple inches the condensation was much less.
