new truck new hitch

well today i installed the anderson ultimate hitch in the truck and picked up the monty and headded to the house. 1st impressions are ti is very secure and strong. lining up the ball was as easy as the 5h wheel plate right under ball and lowered right on the hitch. easy on and off. also 1st time with my 2008 dually we went 2 miles on streets and then expressway 2 miles to the house. i have to admit it feels strong and secure. the duall just adds that extra distribution of weight and makes towing much easier. loved my f250 but a better toweing feel with the dually for me anyway.

We also moved from a F250 to the F350 Dually..same year and color as yours...and yes it definitely feels so much better towing the Monty....I would not want to go back to the F250 for towing.....we are awaiting the arrival of a 2015 F350 Lariat dually .....can hardly wait!

Those Andersen hitches are getting some pretty good reviews.

I seem to remember someone saying that a gooseneck hitch voided the Montana warranty. True?

When I added Mor/ryde X Factor braces, Keystone said I voided my frame warranty.

It took a meeting between Mor/ryde and Keystone for them to back off that, but they would not put it in writing that I had not voided my warranty.

They (Keystone) will look for any reason to get out of paying a warranty claim.

yes it might if it was a true gooseneck . the ultimate hitch puts the ball right up in height with the kingpin and is hooked just like you would a standard 5th wheel hith,
but anderson does use the word gooseneck in its ad. so far its been good and solid, will post more after a few trips with it.
