Buying flowers on-line

Just for kicks, I thought I'd try buying my wife some flowers on line. Since we weren't going to be home on Valentine's Day (Sunday) I ordered the flowers on Friday for delivery on Saturday. Lo and behold, FedEx pulled up about 4:00 pm on Saturday with the flowers, two doz assorted roses, box of chocolates, and a vase. She sure was pleased. Why am I writing this? Because I didn't think it would work but it did. She's happy, I'm happy, everyone's happy!

Well done Orv, I had a similar experience with the marvels of the internet. I was at work Friday and decided to send Cathy some flowers. Got on FTD's web site at 11:30 in the morning and ordered a Valentines assortment of roses and lilies, and amazingly they were delivered to Cathy at home at 3:30 that very afternoon. I work on a mountain a little over an hour away from the house, and the turnaround from a national web-site absolutely astounded me. Listen up MOC men, this means there are no more excuses for forgetting flowers now, unless of course your DW never reads the forum!!
