Tom, record cold here right now. Very short lived, though. 39 and windy early this AM. 44 and 20 mph winds right now at 11:30 am. 27 tonight here south of Orlando (possible record low) with gusty winds.

THEN: Thu-52/Fri-67/Sat-72/Sun-74/Mon-75/Tue-77 Clear or mostly sunny every day.

One thing about Florida, it doesn't stay cold very long. It is still better than "0" temp and a foot of snow, UNLESS you like that sort of thing. I did when I was 20, BUT, I am not 20 anymore. Have a Good Day and enjoy the beautiful sunshine.

How is the Twin Oaks CG? We will be traveling to Florida Jan 30 and are looking for a CG for an over nighter. We will be traveling in a group of 3.

We live on the GA/FL line and I gotta tell you it is cold here. Had to bundle my citrus trees last night. The wind cuts right thru you. It is suppose to be even colder tonight and then tomorrow it is suppose to warm up.

Y'all stay warm down there. My MIL sent me an e-mail earlier (just outside Savannah, GA) and said it is COLD! Bundle up those trees and save that fruit. I used to help my papa with his orange grove when we'd have a cold snap. Gosh, the memories tht brought back!

I wish it was 27 degrees here!! When I left for that place that pays the bills(Work) this morning it was minus 6 degrees with a wind chill of minus 20 something. I believe the high today got up to about 12-14 degrees. So, as much as I am jealous of you that can head south in the winter, you won't get much sympathy from Fordzilla.

Steve Andreasen had to email me pictures from Apache Junction and tell me all about how it was 70+ there today. I think I will bundle up some snow and ship it to him. Can I get a volunteer to make up a snowball and toss it at him????

Richfaa, talk to the Sunshine god. Heaven knows when I was growing up there I saw as much rain as I did sunshine! And those cold snaps are a bear.

Heat wave here in the RGV!

Dropped to a balmy 40 last night, and I even brought all the plants in, what a waste of my energy!

Officially here in Naples, we didn't set a record low, 34 degrees in 1979. That said, this morning at the local Home Depot, there was ice on the pipes in the outside garden department where they were watering the plants to try to keep them from freezing. The ground did not have any ice on it but up in the air there were icicles. Have to say that I had to break out the jeans today. First time in almost three years!!!!!

Well the weather man had some good news tonight. Looks like it will be above freezing for the first time in a month this weekend so I will be out scraping all the ice from our first storm of the season which is about an inch and a half to two inches thick in some places. I keep thinking spring and all the stuff is siting in the garage ready to go back into the Monty come spring. Only 3 more months to go!!!
