IIRC the manual says set it around 6 volts and work from there (by how the unit stops). I found the Prodigy to be very simple to operate.

You'll find by trial and error where the best settings are. I usually set mine at a point where the trailer brakes just barely engage before the truck brakes do. That seems to work the best for me. You can always adjust up or down for more or less voltage applied to the trailer brakes. Good luck and happy trails.

I have to put my prodigy on 9.5 with a boost of 3. Nothing else seemed adequate.

Really depends on your trailer weight and braking preference. I set mine on B2 for boost.

If you don't have the instructions that came with it, call the toll free #, they are very helpful.

I set mine for about 8.5 with 3 boost when on the highway. Use 1 boost in cities.

I use boost 1 in town and boost 2 on the highway. I think the voltage setting is just over 6.

I missed placed my instructions but, they are available as a PDF at the Prodigy Webb site.

I run at a setting of 7.0 on Boost 2. Here is a link to the instruction sheets http://www.tekonsha.com/instructions...89_H%20web.pdf
