New couch

Need to put in a new sleeper sofa in 2005 3400rl. Going to put it under the big window in back where the recliners used to be. Need to know how many inches from the wall with the big window to the closest part of the slide outs that will clear the sofa. I would measure it myself but the trailer is in storage right now and I can't get to it.

We have a 358 rlt 2013 Mountaineer that we moved the chairs and put sofa in the back. There is a hump in the floor looking at the back window from the inside of Rv so we had to position the couch more to the left side of the window. I have an end table on the right side. I like the sofa like that for lying down to watch TV. We were also concerned about the curtain attachments as they stick out a good way from the wall. I had planned to take bottom brackets off and just let them hang but they didn't present a problem. It would also depend if you were getting the sleeper sofa as it has a metal bar on back which offsets the curtain bracket. Our sofa clears the slide by 1 inch. Hope this info helps you.

The new couch I'm looking at is 43" deep. Need to know if the slides will clear it when you put them in. Thanks for the response though.

I will measure my couch but I guess a lot depends on where your slide is located. I don't know your floor plan. We measured and remeasured and then tried it but you don't have that option. Just measured, our couch is 35 inches deep. No way could we use a 43 ". Hope this helps.

In case I wasn't clear. The couch is 35" and 1" clearance for slides. The couch is completely against the back wall. 36" is max for us.

We have a 2012 358 Mountaineer and I think I measured 37 inches would fit. Maybe I was off a little. We won't have it out of storage until Tuesday to check. A store here advertises park model furniture and I thought I'd check them out.

Measuring from the back of couch to end of arm is 35, but I forgot the front cushions of couch are curved and stick out about another inch so it would be 37". I was so glad it fit back there, I like it so much better to have chairs facing TV.
