DS Flood light always on?

I replaced the burnt out lamp in the flood light on the door side, and now it stays on regardless of the position of the switch. Suspecting a bad switch I disconnected it and both the flood light and the hitch light still stay on all the time. Is there another switch someplace? Thanks, Eric

Find the remote for your 2011 3400 and turn the light off using it. If the light is turned on using the remote (either intentionally or not) it can only be turned off with the remote.

Thanks again for the tip. With new battery the remote turned off the light and it works normally with the interior switch.

Oddly, other than the light the remote doesn't control anything else. is there an enable switch or something that needs to be activated in order for the remote to work?

You do have to "turn on" the remote before it will do anything other than the light. The sequence is:

Press the LCI button at the bottom of the middle row
Press the Light On button just above it.

Then the other functions (awning, slide, jacks, etc.) should work.

If the scare light comes on then the sequence wasn't followed. Turn off the light and try again.
