Power issue
We just purchased a new Montana. We have iN·command system and inverter system. Our power goes off and only half of it comes back on. We must wait 5 minutes and then go reset it. We have 50A service and have had all appliances checked. We were advised by Camping World to have service at site re done. We did that and still are having this problem. Anyone else have this issue before and if so how did you fix it? Thanks to everyone for your help.

Deb,
Some more info will help.
Do you have the issue when running off the inverter and your battery bank (not plugged into shorepower)? Or is it only when plugged into shorepower? Have you tried connecting to a different pedestal at the campground?

Couple of questions.
When you say reset, what exactly are you resetting? Park breaker? Something else?
When you say only half the power comes back on, what power is not on? AC outlets, 120 vac appliances, 12 vdc lights, ????

Looking at your surge protector, are you losing one leg of your power?
are you resetting your pedistal power or your inside 50 AMP breaker?

Sounds like you have a problem on one of the 50amp legs on your incomming power. Start at the pedestal and then work back thru the power cord and rear connection.

Below is the more info requested from the group. Thank you all for your help.
We are resetting the pedestal breaker. We have taken it in three times and they have gone through the appliances to check amps. The techs say no problems. However, it still isn’t fixed. We had the power changed at the park and it still does it. The side (leg) that we lose is the side with the appliances (refrigerator, microwave, outlets etc.). The other leg comes back on. We have a computer in command system as well but again Camping World says this is not a problem. We just don’t know what to do.

Deb,
Sounds like you are losing one side of your 50 amp service.
Assuming you have moved to a different pedestal and still have the same problem, try borrowing a power cord and see if you have the same issue.

I don't have an "In Command" system but I thought it controlled the 12V systems. It should have no effect on the 120V side.

The following only applies if you, or someone helping you, are very comfortable troubleshooting live 120/240 vac power.
Next time you lose power, disconnect your power cord FROM THE BACK of the trailer (leaving it plugged into the pedestal). Using a volt meter verify you have or do not have 120/240 vac at that end of the cord. That should prove the problem is either from the cord back to the pedestal (i.e. not the trailer) or in the trailer itself. See link below.

Get a multi meter and verify your 50 amp power cable ... my crude PDF wife and I put together might be is use....
Even though that cable is new if either end has a loose or poorly installed wire inside the male or female end you will drop one leg of 120 volts...

If you have verified that your 50 amp cable is good by using multi meter and verifying good continuity on each of the 4 wires and your RV Park pedestal has been verified with a multi meter to be properly wired you can further troubleshoot your power problem..
If you have a multi meter and some basic electrical skill sets you can measure each of your MAIN breakers in your power center pedestal.
This PDF was created on my 2014 Alpine ... your Montana will be similar .. exercise electrical safety practices when following my PDF
This test will verify you have proper 120 VAC on each hot leg in your power center inside your Montana. If readings are good then your problem is from your power center pedestal to those outlets inside that are having issues

It still sounds like it may be at at pedistal. I would ask the park maintenance person nicely to check out the entire pedistal. I work at an RV Resort and most of the time it is the breaker but I have also found frogs and lizards shorting out the pedistal. Just let them know you have had your rig checked out and you are still having problems.

Deb,
Please confirm you have moved the trailer and tried multiple pedestals.

We had an electrician change the breaker and check it out so according to him it isn’t the pedestal
