Best push broom for slide-out tops

Looking to get a push broom for clearing off the tops of our slide-outs. Just wondering if you guys recommend a "smooth surface" or "rough surface" type broom?

I was thinking that a smooth surface would be better on the slide-out roof but then I was wondering if it'd be firm enough to push off the debris.

Thanks!!

I thought about that, but with 4 slides that's more than I want to spend. Plus, I'm still not convinced about toppers flapping and making noise in the high wind... Maybe next year for them.

If the toppers are to pricy for now, I have a Riobi battery leaf blower that I use to blow the leaves and nuts off of the slide tops! Same battery as my cordless drill!

I used a kitchen broom and our battery blower.I just finished installing toppers so we'll see how well they work. If you can do them yourself I paid about 850$ for all four and it takes about an hour each to install.

put swim noodles under toppers - just make sure to pull out before sliding in

Leaf blower. Best broom I never used.

Slide toppers on the new camper but I'm not sure I like them yet.

Very noisy in high winds and another worry when a sudden storm blows in.
We actually had to close the main slide one night because of very strong winds
flapping the topper around.

Funny. No one really has really addressed the question that was asked. The thread quickly became about leaf blowers which had nothing to do with the OP.

BTW, I do have a leaf blower that I could use but was wondering about the broom option.

But it still fun see the direction that this and other threads go off on. It does make me

It seems that its always this way, as far as brooms, not sure it would matter.Just stiff enough to sweep with, can't see where it would hurt anything.

BTW Dave, which is better DRW or SRW? Diesel or Gas? Sorry, couldn't stop myself.

I have nothing of value to add to your broom question. If I were to get one, it would be smooth surface.

I use a smooth type broom attachment about 8" wide purchased at HD along with a 12 ft extension handle to clear off the tops of my slides. Extension handle retracts to 6 ft so it is easy to store. Broom head works great on both puddles and debris. Rest my ladder on one side of the slide and depending on the length of the slide may have to work it from both sides. Work well and takes very little time also allows me to monitor the condition of the slide roofs.
