Landing gear motor

The Montana curse strikes us again. Got hitched up and discovered that the curbside leg wouldn't move. The bolt in the connecting rod had broken again. Fixed it, but it didn't move right. Discovered that the upper left motor mount bolt was missing and the lower right one was loose (the only two bolts which hold the motor to the mount bracket).

Would suggest that you check the bolts whenever you check the battery. You can't see the upper left one easily, but you can touch it.

Had the same problem with motor mount bolts a few months back. Was lucky enough to catch them before any problem happened. Think that a better design could have been made so that the bolts could have lock nuts or something similar.

You need to put checking all those bolts mentioned on your regular check list on a monthly basis. I check them every time I open the front compartment. Te one on the far right holding the square tubing together comes loose a lot.
