Is the inverter supposed to stay running constantly when pulling the fifth wheel

While traveling I just checked in the refrigerator is not on the inverter is not on either.

The inverter has to be turned on to turn on the fridge without shore power.

Where do you turn it on

Mine is on the face of the inverter; touch the on/off "spot" and it comes on or goes off.
