Where to find replacement RV King Bed
Where does one find replacement Mattress for the original "King" Mattress used in a 2006 Montana 3400RL? The current one measures at 72" W X 76" L. A very odd size. Have not been able to find a source!

Here is one source of RV Beds that I got from RICHFAA, www.bearbeds.com I think they are air beds but highly recommended by a fellow MOCer. When we bought our '06 3400 we bought a 3inch topper from Costco and put over the OEM bed. It has served us well so far. It does not have the rounded ends but the memory foam collapses well around the ccrners. I know there is a source for the rounded end mattress but I can't recall where I saw them. Maybe a GOOGLE search for RV Mattresses will bring up something. Hope this helps somewhat.

exav8tr,
Thanks for the reference. I'll check that link out. We are still using our original Mattress that came with the 06 3400RL and we also put a 4" foam topper on it from Camping World. Made a very poor bed into something somewhat useable. Now we would like another that size for a Park Model, hopefully a little higher quality and firmer.

We bought a Comfort Air Bed that is in many Monaco coaches - it has rounded footers and is air-adjustable. We like it.

Just a word of caution on air beds! When traveling through mountains, let some air out or they can expand to the point of causing a leak.

We bought a "queen petite" for our 2nd Montana at a regular mattress store. Just go in and ask ... you'll probably have to special order but, as I recall, there was no extra cost (at the store where we went), it didn't take long and the price was very reasonable. And it was a very good mattress!
Good luck in your search.

We finally got a Sleep number and its one option that we really like for sure. We had used the foam toppers but there is no comparison the Sleep Number win hands down. I think they can be bought at Camping World. GBY....

Thanks for all the suggestions folks. Big help. We have to have a 72" wide x at least 76" long. We tried a RV Queen and it just didn't work for us. Long enough but wasn't wide enough. I gained 30 lbs this summer due to a health problem and I take up allot of room now! :-)Allot of room!

We replaced the "Montana King" mattress with a Sleep-By-Number Queen. Fits in there beautifully, and gives us extra room on both sides of the bed.
Like mentioned earlier, we lower the air pressure on the bed when we travel.

A friend of ours went to the company that made the mattress in their house and gave them the measurements of the bed frame in their trailer and they made them a mattress for the same price as one of equal size for a normal bed.
