Looking for some specific model 3442RL info
Has anyone with a 2015 3440RL replace the original Thetford with something else? If you did what model and manufacturer did you use. Our original is a Thetford model 42062 style II high. It isn't that old and is having trouble holding water.
Thanks for any info.

Lots of folks here have installed Dometic toilets (I did but I can’t remember the model numbers). Try searching Dometic toilets…you will find many threads.

You will have no trouble installing a Dometic 310 or even a 320 toilet. You might need to modify the water line to connect to the toilet if it won't bend to connect, but a couple of sharkbite connectors will work.

Dometic website has good info. It has a page with the actual dimensions of the toilet and even a picture I think. You can then measure the area in the bathroom to see if it will fit.

Swapped out the Thetford on our 2015 3440RL to a Dometic 320 without issue. Also took the opportunity to install an additional water shutoff where the pex comes through the floor just in case.

We have a 2017 3811MS and have had many issues with the Thetford Aqua Style II toilet. The best replacement I could find is either the Dometic 310 (round bowl) or 320 (elongated bowl). Those have their complaints too though.

The Dometic 320 fit perfectly into our 3442RL. Right off the bat what I love about the Dometic, which I didn't know is that you can change the ball gasket without removing or disassembling the toilet. That gasket is usually the problem with the Thedfords.

Hi Bob, we had just as many issues with peddle valve and the anti-suction valve. One of our best days was the day we removed that toilet.

One of my smartest and might I add easiest mods was replacing our Thetford toilet with a Dometic 320. As was stated above you may need to modify the supply line to accommodate the connection. I simply cut off the old connection and added this shutoff valve. It made the whole job simpler and gave me the ability to shut off the toilet without shutting off all our water.

Total job time was about half an hour.
Added bonus. When I shopped dealers in my area only one had the color (bone) I wanted and when I got there, it was on sale for 50% off.
Some days it all just comes together.
