Blue Ridge Parkway campgrounds

Is anyone familiar with Warrior Creek COE Park in Boomer, NC close to Wilkesnoro, NC? Any recommendations for around Blue Ridge pky, Boone, blowing Rock, Cherokee? Going from Crossville, TN to around Boone, NC. and going back down to Ashville, NC. Thanks.

Check the clearances on tunnels and bridges from Cherokee to Ashville. I believe some are low.

There are 3 tunnels that are just over 18 feet in the center and just over 10 feet on the edge all the rest are over 19 feet in the center and over 13 feet on the edge. Stay away from the edge and you will have no trouble.
I know nothing about the CG you ask about. The one I do know about is at Rocky Knob. I have not camped there but I go there often. It is only about 40 miles from my home. I ride my motorcycle up there often. It is small but has a few sites you can get in. It might be the prettiest CG you have ever seen. It is on the top of a mountain with beautiful views.

We like Fort Hamby on the other side of the lake. Site #23 is our favorite. It's a smaller campground so not so much noise. Also the sites are large. We've driven through Warrior's Creek and much prefer Fort Hamby.

Up near Spruce Pine is Bear's Den, the only private campground with an entrance directly off the BRP. Used to stay there a lot with our old pop up, but have not been back in maybe 10 years.
