The Super Duty’s new top towing capacity will be more than a 2019 F-450 diesel pickup’s 34,000 pounds

This may be what we end up with in 2020

I just spent 75,000 dollars on the one I now have So I don`t have another 100,000 dollars that this is going to cost to buy . At what price are they going to price them self's out of the market. Who has to tow more than 18,000 lbs anyway, maybe a couple but the hitch will be the limiting factor at this point. I really think they should just refine what has been develop and be happy with the sales, what????? a 400,000 mile diesel can`t have that can we. We`ll see.

These trucks have got so expensive. A F150 Platinum starts at 72k. It has 450 HP and 510 pound feet of torque. With 90% of the torque at 1500 RPMs.
If they made a 6L Ecoboost with 450 to 500 HP and 8 to 900 pound feet of torque I’d be interested but a push rod, naw.

I wouldn't want it with a large gas. I'm with Lynwood on the large Ecoboost. We have the 3.5L in our Expedition and it's a strong engine for its displacement

I'd hope they bump the truck's GVWR a bit for 2020. It'd be nice to see a F350 SRW with a GVWR=12500-13k. F350 DRW could stay at 14k The F450 should be in the class 4 area 14-16k.

If they made a large Ecoboost engine they wouldnít sell many Diesel trucks. If it had the same output as my 2.7 per L it would have 888 TK and 777 HP.

13K SRW tires may be an issue

It's possible. They haven't really changed the ratings since 2005 but have upgraded brakes, frames, axles and tires.

Lt275-65r20 tires have a load rating of 3750# max at 80 psi
That would put RAWR at 7500#
Front is 6000# already.

The Lt275-70r218 are 3640#, but that wouldn't leave a much room at 13K, but could be a 12500 rating.
