Carbon dioxide alarm
My alarm is beeping plus the light is red which says it needs replacing. I removed it and it is hard wired in. Is there a way to change it? And how? Where to get a replacement. 2012 3852 rl

Are you talking about the Propane detector mounted low in the kitchen area? It is a wired 12V powered unit and they are only good for 5 or so years. Mine went out 4 years ago on my 2012.
The carbon monoxide detector in the bedroom is battery powered as I recall. They also have an end of life date after which they beep continuously.
In either case, here is a link to Amazon where they have a selection of propane and carbon monoxide replacements. I am sure you can find them elsewhere too.

You can get a replacement on amazon. Take the old one off the cabinet and clip the wires with wire cutters. Strip back the insulation and connect with the new alarm with wire nuts. The wires will be "hot" but only 12 volt so just don't let them short together and blow a fuse. They are hot even if you turn off the battery disconnect.

Make sure you are not connected to shore power and remove the negative cable from your battery(s) before working on anything electrical.

When I tried to pull the wires through the opening they disconnected from the wire nuts.
Which wire goes where?
Black to Black and white?
Red to white?

If you are going to do any of your own wiring I highly recommend an inexpensive multimeter. I have one I bought from Walmart years ago that has served me well. It'll show a minus sign before the voltage - XX.XX when leads are tested backwards on DC.

Any ideas on why mine (2020 3761FL) is already beeping - light goes red, beeps 4-5x and stops at random times (day and night). The date is 2025 on it. Very frustrated.

Which unit is acting up? Smoke detector, propane detector or carbon monoxide?

If it's the propane detector, about $50 at Amazon. They have a 5 year (and often less) life expectancy from date of installation. I just replace ours about 3 weeks ago, that was dated 2013. Ten minute change out normally.
Be careful if you clip the wires and attach the new with wire nuts or butt connectors. Ours popped out of the OE connectors. The RV wiring colors are not conventional automotive in that white with black strip is plus while red on the propane detector is plus.

I found another unique use for PROPANE detector - on mine, in the middle of the night, it start an occasional intermittent beeping sound. Turns out I was running out of 12v power - long story short, had to change the converter.

Mike
I’m about six hours away from my 2022 295rl keystone Montana. My neighbor reports an alarm going off. We are hooked to shore power. Only had the rv for about 3 months. My guess is CO2 or propane alarm. Any other possibilities?? Thanks

Most likely a weak battery in a smoke detector.

CO2 is carbon dioxide--you exhale this when you breathe.
CO is carbon monoxide--created from burning fuels-you die from this so that is why you have an alarm for it in your rig and house.

Defected propane sensor
My was doing the same, randomly going off ,contacted manufacturer and the sent me a new one for free, I think they have a one year warranty, all I had to do was sent the old one back so they could see what the problem with it was. Could save you $50.00. Worth a try,
