Ozz you gonna get in trouble if you say bad things about the G614s.LOL. I think I will stick with the made in the USA LTs. You can get great tires for about half the price and last about same length of time. JMHO

Well Bobbie, that is what we need to know. I got caught up in the G614 fever, but it looks as if there are others that are just like them.

Good deal, how many miles on them and what is your rig's weight?

I have 12,139 miles on my Michelin XPS Ribs purchased July, 2008. Still look practically new.
But I am a little lighter than some of you, around 12,500.

I'd recon 12 to 15K on the mileage. Never weighed the rig, however, like BB TX, probably weigh less than some or not. I was doing some cleaning the other day and saw some stuff I had only seen once before--that was when I put it in the trailer. Had planned on removing things to lighten up, but it started raining, soooo, maybe I'll see it again some day. Was camping with a friend of mine recently, on a motorcycle trip, and he was looking over my rig and asked if I entertained a lot because of all the stuff I carry. I mentioned every one needs at least three propane stoves for outside cooking, you know, things like that. Maybe I should weigh the rig. No weight police, please.

Not sure of what really is going on. On my SOB I have the Sailun tires and have never heard of them. These came on the unit when I bought them. And as I said in one of my other posts on this matter I am getting the same exact wear as Ozz is. Still a lot of tire on the outside edge but noticeable wear. I have approximately 15,000 miles on these and other than the outside of the tire they show no wear at all. So I am not sure it's a Good Year problem. I will say my fivers gross is around the 17,000 lbs. mark. Maybe we should look into the weight of the trailers that are having this problem? I'm very curious on this also.

Like Ozz, I've got 614's on because Goodyear had to make good on their previous bad tires (in my case Marathons). We'll see how these do and when it's time to put new tires on I'll be stopping by Lonnie's place.

Sailun S637 Premium Trailer tires on my rig with about 5000 miles. Look new with no wear. About half the price of Goodyear's and in my opinion a better tire. As I stated before I have personally changed tires for 30 years in my business and was really impressed with the construction of this tire when I changed the 4 on my Monty. Goodyear has to come up with the money to pay the damage claims from somewhere!

I put a new set of Falkens from japan on mine in sept 09 and went to goshen and back home first trip 1600 miles. In 2010 only about 5000 miles. Last yr 16000 miles 23 states and the axels finally killed them but they worked great no problems. They discontinued them and I replaced them with a set of laredos per Lonnies advice {thanks Lonnie} and very happy so far 1800 miles. JMHO
Bobby
{on edit} mine weights 13600# Loaded for fun time!!
