Ugliest Car ??
I was sitting in on the daily 9 a.m. meeting of the "over the hill gang" at the local watering hole (Hardees) when the topic turned to ugly cars. The winner among currently manufactured models was the Pontiac Aztec. All time winner was the AMC Pacer (70's I think). What's your choice?

You know, when I saw the header of this thread, the first car that came to mind before reading was the Pontiac Aztec…

SE North Carolina, you are NOT alone on the PT Cruiser. Marsha and I both think they are pretty ugly, though I realize a growing number of people like them. Beauty—or ugly, I suppose—is in the eye of the beholder! Marsha calls them hearse mobiles.

I think the PT Cruiser and the Honda Element are two of the ugliest vehicles on the road. These vehicles are SO UGLY that if I won one I would sell it instantly and if I was not allowed to sell it I would NOT take delivery.

Vicki and I have come to the conclusion that we are growing old. We have commented many times on how many truly ugly cars are being built these days. And people are buying them! Young people, anyhow. It must be us.

My vote is that square Honda and another is the square VW - they look like a big box rolling down the road. I think they are both SUV wantabees.

I'll have to go international and nominate the Citroen. In fact, it may be the grandfather of the Aztec. And then, there was the Crysler "Airflow" from the late 30's. Who could ever forget that one?

Here's another vote for the "square" Honda. Honda Element I think.

Yep... the Honda Element and the Toyota Scion XB are like two peas in a pod. A good friend of ours just bought a Honda Element last weekend. It does have it's good points as I am sure the Toyota does, but they are both still ugleeeeeeeeeeee!

The Pacer was ugly but how many cars have been sold on the basis of building the biggest submarine sandwich in it. Remember the adds???

Your taste mirrors alot of others. Just this past weekend I was listening to Click and Clack the Tappett Brothers on Public Radio. They announced the results of their poll on the ugliest car(s). The Pontiac Aztec won hands down! I would have to agree. I heard a rumor shortly after the Aztec was released that sales were so low that GM managers were told to take Aztecs home so that it would appear on the streets that they were selling.
The runners up on the Click and Clack show were Honda Element, Scion, PT Cruiser and the Hummer H2 not necessarily in that order. Personally I thing the Chev Avalanche should be close to the top of the list.

I vote for the Honda ugly. I don't know what element it is, but it's still ugly.

Dave and Victoria,
No, I don't think there is a difference. They are the same and all vehicles mention can fall into each category.
