We stayed there several times. We will no longer as we usually like to stay a week or two at least. Now weekends are full and I'm not leaving for weekenders. That CG fills for the winter now, good for them. We live on the NC coast 45 minutes away. We spend winters in S Florida, too cold here. NOT $2500 a year but $1990 + electric monthly.

We have our 5th wheel parked year round in Grand Lake, CO - great place - waiting list to get in! We have access to the camper from May 1st to October 1st - water, sewer, WiFi, electrical and propane are all provided, plus a spot to park a boat if needed - $3000 a year. The electric is prorated - very cheap and we pay for propane. Mountain air and our views are incredible!

RKassl, the 2500 a year is a real bargain. We have a residential address hook up for our Montana in Palestine, Tx. We pay 2400 a year plus our electric. We are here in the Spring and go to the West or Northwest for the Summer where we pay 650 to 1200 a month. Then back to Palestine for the Fall and on to Florida from Nov. through March where we pay 350 plus elect. The park in Florida is 55 plus years old and very good friendly place. It is near the Villages, Fl. The manager lets us make a reservation for the same spot each year.

Own Spot
This is probably a good idea if you are considering less constant travel vs more time in one place. We always intended on less time between travel so we purchased a lot on unimproved land- not RV park. We slowly added all the comforts, electric, water and It works great for us especially during these odd times. Always somewhere to go. This sounds like a super reasonable price for the benefit of choice. Good luck- hope it works out!

We also purchased an RV lot in a gated community just west of Phoenix. It's a 55+ community that offers a lot of amenities year-round and we can move on and off at any time to travel. It was a fantastic investment for us.

We did one better. Found acre and half close to the lake and boat ramps. Took some clean up work as it had not been lived on in 20 years. All utility connections were there. So we made it our perm site. No monthly fees can build and do what we want. Water and electric bill not much

For those that purchase actual property then adapt it for an RV, how do you get by the local zoning/property restrictions by the city, county etc.? We've looked at 4 areas but when talking to the realtor all of them have said trying to do that is prohibited. The only way to put one in would be in an area designated for "mobile homes" or buy a house then add a pad etc. next to it. Obviously I don't need another home so we've kind of taken that off our radar.
Talked to our neighbor here in this park a couple of days ago. He is leaving at the end of the month to move to a 55+ park about 2 hours from here. He purchased his "space" for 3 years as I understood. They like the idea of a party house, margarita Tuesdays and a large swimming pool. We have no interest in any of that so guess we'll keep looking for that elusive piece of personal property in a place we like somewhere.

I'm very familiar with that area. Used to spend quite a bit of time in Pine Top then run over to Greer a few times a week to fish. Can you come and go as you wish from that space and is it maintained by the park?

It's called woodfield. It's only open from may 1st to nov1st. More park models than RV's but I pick my site when they first open 3 1/2 years ago. I motorcycle ride to Greer, alpine, eager etc. Great riding in mountains.
