An act of kindness

Our friends from Kansas City, Dennis and Mary who were at the Branson Rally have had some medical issues. Mary had to have a hysterectomy this week. She was really concerned about the operation and it's recovery. Mary was particularly worried about making it through the first night after the operation, as she had heard that is the most dangerous time. My sweet Sue told her that she would spend that night by her bedside. Monday night Sue arrived at the hospital at 6:00 in the evening and stayed by Mary's side for 12 hours in a chair. I asked her if she watched television, she said she did not want to bother Mary with the light and noise. She sat in that chair by Mary all night. Sue said the hospital care was wonderful, and the night nurse came in every 2 hours and took vitals.
I'm really proud of her, quite a gal. She is in the midst of some spoiling and pampering right now.
(Dennis is in an early stage of Alzheimer's, and they had a friend spend the night with him at their home.)

Friends like you are hard to find. May angels always watch over you and your kindness be repaid.

She hasn't seen it yet, she would be embarrassed.
I am driving up to Olive Garden to get her favorite take out tonight. I helped her today with her list of To-do things to get ready for our trip to Texas the 19th.

Ozz, tell Sue that was a great thing she did. However both of you are great people. Hemlockusa is still talking about how you came over and scrubbed the roof on his Montana.

She is a special person. You better get her a day at the spa for such a good deed.
Mary is in our prayers.

Ozz,

It's people like you and Sue that make the world a better place. I pray that I will have friends such as you two when I find myself in need.

God bless you both.

Looking forward to meeting this special gal in a few days, of course we want to meet the DH that praises her as well.

My dad told me something years ago. "You may meet and make lots of friends over the years, but the GREAT ones that will stick by you no matter what will probably only be counted on your two hands." I have found that advice has proven true over the years. We are blessed with several GREAT friends.

The people that give of themselves usually try to stay under the radar and let others take the credit. It is nice to see you praising your other half Ozz.
