The gduff point about backpacking brings to mind how we travel in the Monty with just the items we think are needed. After a few backpacking trips on the AT I got the weight down to 25 lbs including the pack its self. At that weight the TV could handle the load better. It would be interesting to know the items the stick-Monty shelters, but are not taken along for the ride in the class A.

Hey Guys:

We are new to Montana having gone from a 2004 Carriage Cameo LXi ( 35ft ) to a 2013 Montana 3800RE. We have been full time for
7 years, spending winter in AZ and summmer in Alberta, Canada. We have visited 22 states and 4 provinces so far. We have been
married 38 years and love each other more with each year. We are happy with each others company and enjoy all our RVing friends
from all places. Full timing is a state of mind and we love to share that with like minded people. We will continue with this
lifestyle as long as possible. We sold all our "THINGS" like the big house, cottage, condo et al. Now we have few worries.
We love all our new friends since none wish to " keepup with the Jones".

Happy trails.

David and Deb

Yes, learned that one long ago as well. With a 55 lb pack the TV had serious issues. Low power on hills, high fuel consumption, low milage etc. etc. Got the 7 day pack down to 35# in a hurry and was a much happier camper!
