Hi Gloss Gel Coat

We are shopping for a new 5th wheel camper and are looking at what options we want to include. Is the hi gloss gel coat worth the extra money---is it easier to keep clean? We don't wash our camper on a regular basis so it get pretty "buggy". Would it help to have the high gloss gel coating?

Yes it will have a better appearance. Will increase the weight of the 5er about 600lbs also. I am sure you will receive more info from other members. Have a good day!

We have it and would have it again if buying another. It is easier to clean, it looks very nice and shiny. The nose and rear caps won't be any different whether hi-gloss sides or not so it won't help with getting the bugs off. If you figure that one out, please let me know too! It does add weight but in my estimation another 600 lbs is not all that big a deal when compared to the overall weight of a Montana. In our estimation it is worth it. Others feel differently and hopefully they will tell you why so you can make your own, informed decision. I would think it would help resale value but don't have facts on that. I do think it sure improves the looks, though.
