Splendide 2100XC & Honda 2000 gen

Earlier this month we had the Splendide installed and it works great. Used it for three weeks and sorry we did not get it sooner. We are in the process of getting ready to leave again and went out to the Monte and fired up the Honda 2000 to have power and the DW came out and said that the washer was running and all the lights were flashing. We tried the on/off button but it would not turn it off. I tripped the breaker and tried a reset with no luck. Hooked up to shore power and reset the breaker and the Splendide shut down and on/off switch worked normally. My guesstimate is there was not enough amperage to run the converter and power the electronics of the splendide with the gen. So will keep the breaker off when on the Honda. Anyone else discovered this issue.

Something similar on mine (Ariston). I couldn't even get the door open. As it turned out there was nothing wrong, I just need to read the instructions on how to shut it down. There are several safetys and timers that have to run in sequence before it shuts down so you don't end up with a lap full of water when you open the door. If you cut power before its done, it looses track of what you were trying to do.

We have the Splendide 2100 and a Honda 2000 genny and have used it several times. Never noticed anything with the washer. Have to check it out the next time we hook it up. If you try to draw too much power from the generator it will shut down and you'll get a red light that says overload, I think. Sounds like a bad ground or a back feed from something. Need one of our electronics specialists to diagnose this one.

I think I figured out what happened. I had left the hot water heater electric switch on and it was too big a load. Next time I am out to the Monte I am going to run a test. Never to old to forget something!
