Flooring

Has anyone removed the carpet on the stairs (3670RL) and put any other kind of flooring down? I removed all the flooring from the living/kitchen area and put down laminate flooring but I am stuck on what to do with the stairs. I have not pulled back any carpet on the stairs yet but there seems to be some strange overhangs that you would have to deal with. The area around the bathroom, toilet room and bedroom would be no problem but the stairs have me stumped

I haven't installed laminate flooring in a RV, but have in our house.
Maybe you could face the risers with laminate, cover the subfloor edge with a strip of laminate and cover the laminate edges with trim.
Also have you considered the laminate covered steps might be slippery.

I was also thinking of maybe going with all oak stair parts (treads and risers) and stain them to match the cabinets just not sure what I am going to see once I remove the carpet

Oak sounds good and would look great. Maybe plane the wood down, less transition height from the wood to the carpet.
Could you post pictures when you are done, would sure like to see it.
