First Trip

Well we had our first trip. We went to Ferndale,Wa. The first obstacle was getting through the now what seemed extremely narrow US border gates but we made it after a gallon of sweat. We had an enjoyable but short 2 day weekend. We found some things that have to be fixed and it took a day to figure out how the satellite was wired also learning how to set everything is to be set up. It is a little different than our trailer. I think our slide is 1 or 2 teeth out on one side. So we are making a list of repairs. On the way home we where greeted with a complete customs check which took a 1/HR which is the first time in years we have had to go in so no big deal as we are in the system as not being smugglers. With that over we said that we wished we could have had a few more days. Our next trip is to Loon Lake, BC to spread my Dads ash so he can rejoin my Mother on a lake they loved to fish a spend their annual vacation. Then on the Canada Day weekend back at Ferndale. Love the Montana

Don,

You must have gone across at the 176th Street border crossing. I does seem a little narrow alright.
Last time we were at Ferndale we parked at the casino there. Camping was free.
We had tickets to go see Eric Burton & the Animals. What a hoot.
Enjoy your 2955.

We are members of Holiday Trails based at Bridal Falls, the Cedars in Ferndale is one of their campgrounds and as we are life members we stay for free.

hookman,

In no time you will get the setup and pack-up down to a science. Each time you find just the right place for everything. Once everything has a place of its own, half the packing is done.

Driving get easier with practice. Take your time.

For those annoying little questions, there is no better place to learn about what you don't know than here on this forum.
