Level Up giving way

We are all in the front lounge watching a movie and occasionally I am hearing and feeling a clunk. I was sitting on the floor and I was feeling it more than the others, who are all sitting on the couches. My husband thought we were too much weight for the Level Up system, but there are only four of us, totaling approximately 600 lbs. I would think the front lounge would be designed to hold more weight than that.

Has anyone heard of the Level Up giving way, one ratchet at a time? I'm not even sure how we'd check it.

There have been reports of popping and settling with new level up systems. We have not experienced it (yet), but the solution has been reported as adding hydraulic stiction fluid to the level-up hydraulic reservoir. Others have reported that it does stop after use a few times.

On ours it went away after a couple of trips. It's just air in the lines, according to a lippert tech.

Here's the Lippert report and cure for your problem. Dick had one solution because if your unit is new there may be air in the lines from installation yet.

Mine still pops even after owning it for a year. It is just annoying. Have seen any loss in level though.

Ours went away after a few trips as well. Try putting something under the pads.

We use 2x12's cut to about a foot long.

It will go away. But it is a little disturbing.

Mine still clunks some after 7 months of full timing. Did it a lot in the begining. Seems to do it more during extreme temperature changes. It's just a little annoying so I never bothered with the fix.

Yes our also pops from time to time but never losses level.

Ours was doing it once and while during the first couple of months just sitting in one site. And it was during temp changes. After trip home and numerous stops this week using level-up it has pretty much stopped. We went from 60 degrees yesterday setting up to 40's last night and it didn't do it. We will see but the added raising and lowering all week may have somehow gotten rid of the air.

Ours seem to have stopped, but this winter in FL it did the popping during the shift from night to day temps. Apparently as the temperature heats up the pressure between any two connected hydraulic rams will begin to equal out by moving fluid to the lower pressured ram and then only in very small amounts which causes the popping sound. The distance moved by the rams is not enough to notice any change the in the level of the coach. Probably will now have to put in the anti-stiction fluid.

We put that fluid in over a year ago as we have a neighbor who races dirt bikes and he had lot of it. It still pops from time to time.

Before we did the stiction fluid fix, which solved our popping noise, I noticed the popping occurred most of the time when we were set up on concrete or blacktop, and rarely if ever on gravel or dirt. It seems the hard surface amplifies the popping sound from what I could tell.
