Dining Table Spots

Our dining table has developed whitish spots. If we happen to spill anything on it we wipe it up right away and can't imagine what could be causing these spots. Any ideas on how to remove or clean them off?

The spots come from heat and moisture passing through paper plates. Old English will help. We've done it to ours several times.

x2, smear it on the spot and let it sit for 30 minutes. The white usually disappears, if not, smear it on again.

Does the mayo have to be full fat, light, or fat free? Yes, I'm serious.
Thanks!

Uuuum, go with the full fat. I really don't know, I just know it works. I don't even use mayo for sandwiches. I grew up in Indiana and we used Miricle whip.
