Bed slide

Has anyone replaced their king bed with a queen bed (sleep number) and found that even though length is still 80, your slide does not close all the way?
We have to lift end of mattress up so it rest on dresser. Both beds were 80 inches. Don’t get it.
Came w/king and told them we didn’t want it. So when she arrived with no mattress to our campsite(we are FT, haven’t taken her out yet), we moved our queen in(6 months ago). We recently were doing some stuff requiring bringing in that slide and that’s when we noticed this.
We have a 2022 3231ck.

We have the king sized sleep number.
Our slide has no problem coming all the way in.

We have a queen size foam mattress (from Sams). The toe of the mattress presses against the vanity/base cabinet but the slide always closes tight. I always watch it to make sure there are no issues.

King size here as well. Mattress does press light pressure up against the dresser, but that also helps to give the dresser more stability while in transit I would think. The Schwintek slide mechanism doesn't seem to have any issues doing so.

Pretty much all RV mattresses are 80" in length. If your old one fit and the new one doesn't, I would double check its length and/or the attachment of the bed frame to the wall. Something has changed to add 4-6".

You can replace it with a 60” x 75” rv short queen mattress. Will that work?

After thinking about this, maybe you have a California King which is 4 inches longer than a king.
