Holding at a Stop With EOH

When I find myself holding at a complete stop with the Electric Over Hydraulic Brakes, I grow concerned about the pump running for what seems like an extended period of time

When this situation develops at a red light, I will shift into neutral and hold position with the parking brake. Maybe just put it in park until the light turns green

Curious if anyone else has these concerns when towing with a trailer running disc brakes

Nope, just hold down the brake peddle until the light turns green.

Don't know about the others, but with GM when you come to a complete stop the brake controller no longer supplies a brake signal to the Pump.

11 years of fulltiming, almost all with disk brakes, and the only pump issue we ever had was when something hit the brake line and I didn't know it. The pump appears to be really tough unless you ask it to run dry.

the only time I do that is in city traffic (streets) with constant stop and go and long lights. I just feel why make it work any harder than it has to.

The pump in our system applies the needed pressure to make the stop and then after a short time the motor slows down while you are holding the brakes on waiting at a light or for any other reason. It’s a Brakerite pump, not sure if they all do that.
