F350 brake controller-

Question: I have a 2016 F350 with the factory trailer brake. I will be picking my 2019 that has disc brakes. Anyone know if the F350 trailer brake will be able to work with the hydraulic disc brakes?

Should be the same as my 2015 F350 you can go into the settings from the screen where the speed and instrements are and change the setting to elec. over Hyd. for the trailer brakes.

My 2016 F350 works great with the Hydrostar actuator. If Keystone has installed a Hydrostar then you should have no problems. Just remember that that the Ford controller has a fadeout below about 12 mph. Be sure you're going 20 mph or so before setting the gain. I run mine at a gain of 7. When you are applying brakes at a very slow speed it will be all on the truck brakes unless you reach over and pull the slide way over. You will notice this fadeout when approaching a stop going downhill. Disc brakes are the best upgrade I have done to my 5er.

As described above, go to the ondash screen and switch the braking system over to "Electric over hydraulic" and that's about all you need to do.
