Backsplash tile on 2019 Montana

Do you know if the backsplash needs to be sealed? We got splatters from the stove that took a good bit of cleaning and time to dry. I am wondering if it should be sealed.

We have a 2018 never sealed it just try to keep it clean and wipe it down after using the stove, still looks good and have not had any issues of yet. I think you will be ok just wiping it

Seal the backsplash tile

We noticed the same thing on ours when we first got it, so we cleaned it real good, I think I used a mr clean pad. Then we sealed it with Weimar granite and stone sealer (from Lowe’s I think). We have not had stains since, but since you bring it up I am going to do it again tonight because it has been about a year.

In our model the stove is not centered and we did not want stuff splattering on the wood paneling so we added the peel-n-stick stone backsplash to cover the paneling...see pic.

Ours is not sealed and we have had some oils and othe cooking splash hit it!! At first it did not want to disappear.. used a magic eraser and once it dried it was gone!!

But thank you Mikendebbie.. I think I’ll do the same using a seal and do another panel to cover the right side!

Also noticed during summer time the splash would come loose from the wall as they are only doubled sided tape on!!!
If this happens again next summer I will use gorilla glue!

I appreciate the comments. We will go ahead and seal it. That's good to know that we may need to glue the backsplash. We've already had to re-glue the "wood" wallpaper which began peeling within three months of purchase.

I was very concerned about the backsplash so we went to the local ‘Glass’ company and had plexiglass cut to fit the back and side of our stove. They fit beautiful since cut to specifications. I just remove them, clean and put them back in place.

our's isn't sealed, though we wipe it down and use the magic eraser on it as well to remove any splatter. Though, I'll most likely seal it this off season when I start some of the other mods I'll be making to ours (3700LK)

No problem with backsplash only clean with soap and water pad, but clean right away. Mr. Clean pad will scratch and take shine off.

We put stainless steel on side of stove and it cleans easily and looks good.

Also noticed backsplash came loose. We reinstalled loose tiles with construction adhesive (caulking gun). No more problem.
