Payload capacity
We are new to Montana ownership. We bought a 2007 2955RL and a Dodge Ram 3500 dually. We are confused as to how much stuff we can pack to take along. We have seen everything from 1597 lbs to 3960 lbs. The Keystone site quotes the higher number but our tire sticker outside the door says 1597🤔 Also I should mention that the tires are rated G which apparently means 14 ply steel belted radials. They are bigger tires than what came stock. Any help would be appreciated as 1597 doesn’t seem like very much. We have a lot of “stuff”

Can you show the door jam on the rig? Though, yes the site has 3960, I'm curious what the yellow sticker says. It should be the 3960 for capacity which includes, full tanks, propane, washer/dryer, cargo, etc.
Update: We have the 3700LK and the site says 3400 cargo cap. however, the yellow sticker says 3070 cargo cap. (interesting)

Maybe the yellow sticker is for that particular rig? Maybe adjusted for things like second air, residential frig, installed washer/dryer.

None of those things. It’s pretty basic.

The yellow sticker is for that specific Montana VIN as it rolled out the plant door.

The yellow weight stickers didn't start until somewhere around 2011. A 2007 doesn't have one. There should be a weight sticker inside the kitchen cabinet door. Could it be you are looking at the sticker on the driver's side outside wall (if it is still readable after all this time). Could the 1597 be the KG number?
I had a 2005 2955 which is the same as the 2007. My experience was you can't carry enough (short of gold bars) to get it overweight. I am surprised you have G rated tires. A 2955 had either 5280 lb. (in 2005) or 6000 lbs axles. A good LT range E tire was the best tire for it. I know the stock rims wouldn't handle 110 PSI.

Our 2008 had a sticker inside a kitchen cabinet and it was yellow so I guess it was a yellow sticker.

I remember that sticker being white. It was a mass produced one and not specific to that particular rig. The yellow sticker I am referring to is the ~ 1" x 3" printed label posted in the door frame that is the result of weighing the rig as it comes off the line. Each rig gets its own weight and the same model may vary due to different features or the amount of sawdust left behind.

Yep, I'm familiar with the door frame sticker you refer to. Our 2012 and current 2018.5 had it there too but the 2008 had a YELLOW sticker in the kitchen cabinet.

Our TT had a white and yellow sticker, the white one was on the outside of the rig and the yellow one was in the door jamb

I sent photos of the sticker inside the cupboard door and the one on the front drivers side of the rig. Trying to attach them here but it’s not working. Thanks so much everyone for your help!!

Looks like were stuck with the 1552 number. That’s not very much. Disappointed.

I would not worry too much about the 1572#. What's more important is you do not go over the gross vehicle weight rating which is 12,125 #. In laymen's terms, the camper should not weigh more than 12,125#s including its pin weight.
If you notice the sticker subtracts 498#s for a full tank of water and 60#s for two full tanks of propane.
In other words if you are a camper that only goes to sites with full hook ups and does not use any propane you can travel with those tanks empty to increase your load carrying capacity.
1572
+498
+ 60
=2130#s
The only way to know for sure is to get the rig loaded for travel and have it weighed.

Another important weight is your axle weight. You have 5200# axles x 2 =10,400#s. Both axle weighed together should not exceed that #

Cargo carring Capacity
The original brochure for your unit says the shipping weight is 9765 lb and the Carrying Capacity is 2360 lb and the pin Weight is 1725 lb
So the axels will be caring 9765+2360=10400 /2=5200lb
