Awning problem on 3150rl Montana

We bought our first Montana this past December. We are unable to fully extend the awning because the door on the rig hits it. It seems to be too low on the rig? Anyone else with this problem? How was it resolved? Thank you

When you have the awning fully extended, retract it slightly with a bump on the remote or the switch and it will lift it enough to clear the door. We had the same problem and the solution should work for all models I believe.

As Bingo wrote, just retract the awning a touch. In the manual that came with the awning it even mentions doing that.

Have a 2010 3150 RL and don't have an awning opening/closing problem.

Our new 2014 model is the same, door drags on the awning if fully extended out. We just slightly bring it back up an inch or so like others have said.

I do the same but they do make a little roller for the top of the door so that you won't hurt the awning when fully extended when you open the door I saw them at one of the online RV supply sites can not remember which one, I think I will buy one because a couple of times I got a little snow on mine and it weighted the awning down a little and the door snags on it

My 3585SA does the same. Just a little "bump" on the switch cures the problem.

I thought the same thing when i bought ours. Retract an inch or so, and it fine.

if we retract ours so the flap is hanging straight down, then it barely misses the door.
