A dealer service dept recommendation
Just got our rig back from some relatively minor warranty work at RV Peddlers in Bakersfield, CA. (Auth Montana Service Dept). There is another, bigger, Montana Service Dept and dealer in Bakersfield, Stires RV. I have neither pro nor con re them...Maybe someone "local" can add to that (HamRad??)
New day/night shade, replaced a sticky gas regulator valve, checked on some "is it working as advertised" stuff, storage area wood frame repair, brakes adjusted. Most important of all to us, they were able to install a receiver hitch for the bikes!!! Cost a bit, but WELL worth it!! We have a year of travel starting this month. No more beating up the ladder and mounts!!
Did everything I asked for, on time, correctly (as I can best deterime so far) and at quoted cost for the hitch installation. We did have to make a service "appointment" a couple of weeks ahead, but that is far better than most service departments we contacted earlier.
Our service dept "advisor" was Jim DeJarnett. Good guy to work with.
If anyone wants more details, ph #, etc, drop me an e-maill and I'll give what info I can.
Best,
